Three gorgeous models, two creative photographers and a talented wedding planner: What more could a fashion stylist wish for? (Other than being able to work with such a fun team on a bridal photo shoot every day!) As a stylist, I am constantly looking for ways to incorporate the latest fashion trends into everyday life. […]

Sleek, pseudo-Mohawk-inspired ponytails and natural makeup kept the focus on the clothes at the Joanna Mastroianni show. Mastroianni took a 1960’s ladylike silhouette with matching-print pencil skirt and gave it a metallic update. Makes me think of Madmen (which I love) with a modern spin. The runway is a bit closer to home this week with Strut Madison Fashion Series. New York isn’t the only place you will find talented, innovative fashion designers. These local designers are right on trend for spring 2013. Here’s what you can take away as tips for updating your own closet. This ombre maxi skirt by Rachel […]
It’s all glitz and glam, old Hollywood style at Pier 59 for the Malan Breton runway show. He sure has come a long way from Project Runway Season 3. From the strapless gowns, silk suits and luxe furs worn by the models to the pearl Marilyn Monroe earrings in the gift bags, it is a […]
As darkness falls over Manhattan, things are heating up at Eyebeam Center in Chelsea. The Alessia Prekop show is underway and the champagne is pouring freely. The venue is warehouse chic with cement floors and exposed brick walls and ceiling. All at once the lights come up, thumping music fills the space and the models emerge. Look at the high braids. Twice a year, for one week, the City is turned into one giant fashion show, not only on the runways, but the streets. It is a frantic week of racing all over Manhattan, capturing the trends, glamour and creativity, all unfolding before me. Each season the designers try to top what they previously did, both in their designs and the presentation of the show itself.
