Fall is a great time to do a closet edit. Summer clothes are getting stored until next year and it’s time to start bringing out your sweaters. This is the time to decide what needs to be gone and what needs to be replaced. But before you pack up your all summer items, take a look at what you can wear for fall as a “transition” outfit. Some examples?

Summer dresses. Replace your bright wedges with an edgy, leather booties. Add a denim or leather jacket for the cooler days.

Maxi skirts. The same rule can apply. Pair them with a cozy sweater and scarf and you are good to go.

White jeans. Yes, I said WHITE AFTER LABOR DAY. Bring it into fall by throwing on a cozy sweater or turtleneck and over-the-knee or knee high boots.

Can you see a pattern forming? Layering is key here. Adding a sweater, jacket, or boots is the easiest way to get the most out of your wardrobe all year ’round.
